Road transport  It is the most widely used way of transport.  We have a dense road network but somewhere the roads are of bad quality.  There are several motorways which link the important cities in Czech Republic and neighboring countries. - The main motorway (D1) links Prague, Brno, Ostrava and cities in Poland.

Railway network  It is very dense but not so wide used transport network.  The positive thing is that it doesn´t depend on the density of road traffic.  The negative aspect is that railways in Czech Republic are slowly modernized.

Other ways of transport  There are 5 important airports – Prague, Brno, Ostrava, Karlovy Vary, Pardubice. - Air transport is mainly used for international flights (not because of the small size of the Czech Republic.  There are not so many rivers which can be used for river transport (Labe, Vlatava). The rivers are mostly used for transport of large goods.  Pipeline transport – it is really important because we have to import raw materials such as oil or natural gas.

 RESOURCES Thank you for your attantion!
