Environmental improvement

THE USE OF RENEWABLE ENERGY Renewable sources are inexhaustible energy sources that pollute little or not at all. These energies can be derived from water (hydropower), from the ground (geothermal), wind (wind) and sun (solar). These energies should eventually replace those non-renewable sources, such as oil, gasoline and coal.

The Kyoto Protocol The Kyoto Protocol has the commitment to reduce, for the period , the total emissions of greenhouse gases by at least 5% below 1990 levels. The percentage of reduction is different from country to country: for Italy is 6.5%.

The creation of national parks About 18% of European territory is covered by national parks, which consist of areas that include land and marine ecosystems. these reserves help to preserve the biodiversity.

What is the biodiversity ??? Biodiversity is the totality of biological diversity and native species, ie species, ie characteristics of a characteristics of a given place. given place.

Disposal of waste: Biodegradable waste, such Biodegradable waste, such as paper, glass, as paper, glass, Aluminum and plastic, Aluminum and plastic, can be recycled to produce new items can be recycled to produce new items avoiding the waste of avoiding the waste of raw materials raw materials
