Proposal Objective 3.2: Towards open and personalised solutions for active and independent Living. Motivation Need to cut health care costs (Economic crisis). Need to prove (if any) the socio- economic benefits of ICT based health care solutions and services in comparison to traditional approaches. Proposal Apply comparative large scale pilot trials based on cost-effective web based open standards able to be adapted to multiple and changing needs in differing organisational settings. We will try to build on existing and emerging public or private initiatives and build on the experience of existing pilots in this area in order to propose social innovation initiatives and identify if these will cause return of investment
