1. PLASMA EXPEDIENT OF REDUCTION OF MAGNETITE CONCENTRATES BY WOOD WASTES In some wood regions and, in particular, in Kareliya there was a following situation:  on the one hand there are stocks of ore raw materials,  on the other hand are annually formed hundred thousand tons of organic wastes of a timber industry complex, which pollute a surrounding medium. However these wastes can be utilised as reduction raw materials for an iron and steel industry.  Therefore urgent the mining of technology allowing to solve simultaneous two problems is: to utillize organic wastes of manufactures of a timber industry complex and to manufacture mineral raw materials with reception of metals.  The metallurgy is manufacture with major energy consumptions, and the level of power inputs defines prospects of this or that metallurgical technology for practical embodying.

2. PLASMA PROCESSING OF WATER  Now there is a problem of a decontamination and clearing of water. A serious problem is the replacement of chlorination of water by other methods of a decontamination.  It is revealed, that at chlorination of water there is a formation of chloric organic compounds, which have cancerogenic properties.  The given problem is sharp enough stands for wood regions, the water in which contains especially many organic impurities.  One of the most effective expedients of destruction of organic impurities, is the plasma processing of water.  Thus theoretical and experimental research have shown, that in water plasma of electric discharge the appreciable quantity of fissile particles is formed, as well as at radiative action.  Primary products will be fissile radicals H, OH, H 2 O 2, O 2, e-hydrate, and also various ions.  The research have shown, that the above-stated fissile radicals best are formed in nonequilibrium plasma of a glow discharge.
