2 Central Population Register (CPR) the main source for population and social statistics in Norway CPR includes all residents All residents are registered in the CPR with a unique PIN All immigrants are given a PIN when they register with the immigration authorities All vital events are registered in the CPR –Births, deaths, marriages –National and international migration And demographic characteristics –Sex,age, marital status, number of children, place of birth –Citizenship, national background, and year of first immigration All other national administrative registers based on individuals use this PIN.
