Projections are not a reliable guide to the future. Their core assumption – that the past is a guide to the future – is invariably wrong to a greater or lesser extent. What will MADP Services do to contribute to the target? Ensure that the early intervention agenda is integrated into the Early Years and Young People Subgroup and work plan MADP Research and Information Officer and Management and Performance subgroup will continue to monitor Alcohol Related Hospital Admissions year on year

What will Services do to contribute to the target? Reinforce the message that alcohol is potentially dangerous if consumed above the recommended drinking limits Co-ordination of consistent alcohol awareness messages through effectively designed communications to all ages and population groups Work with Elected Members and Community Planning Board Members to increase ownership of the reduction in alcohol dependence in Moray and to act as senior advocates and champions in key service committees and strategy and policy development on a local and national level

What will Services do to contribute to the target? That the Community Planning Board give consideration to review the current governance and accountability systems and infrastructure in relation to the: Local Licensing Board Local Licensing Forum Licensing Community With an aim to ensure that it is appropriate for Community Planning Partners Restrict the illicit sale of alcohol to those under 18 years

Confidence Rating Confidence Rating of 1: Further action needs to be identified as a matter of priority A reduction of 51.6% is an ambitious target, which will require additional resources and further actions to be identified as a matter of priority
