Presentation transcript:

 Flex sensor are the sensor that change in resistance depending on the amount of bend on the sensor.  They convert the change in bend to electrical resistance, more the change more the value of resistance.  They are usually in the form of strips.  They can be made unidirectional and bidirectional.

 Flex sensors are resistors.  They work as variable analog voltage divider.  Inside the flex sensors are carbon resistive elements within a thin flexible substrate, more carbon means less resistances bend  When the substrate is bend the sensor produces a resistance output relatives to the bend radius.

There are four commands are given using by hand movements  Forward  Reverse  Left  right

 Resistance k ohm  Length 4.5cm  Width 0.375cm  Thickness 0.03cm

if the obstacle is coming in front of wheel chair then the forward command is not work, firstly the reverse the wheels then, turn right or left after that forward the wheels.

Flex sensors is a pattern technology based carbon element as available printed register. Flex sensor achieve great from electron a thin flexible substrate is bend.

 In robotics Flex sensor may be used to determine joint movement or placement.

 In bumper switches Bumper switches for wall detection or pressure switches on robotic grippers.

 In bio metrices The sensor can be placed on a moving joint of athletic equipment to provide an electrical indication of movement or pressure.

 In robotic arm Movements of fingers are controlled by change in resistance value.

 In gaming gloves A few of the sensor can be incorporated onto a glove to make virtual relative gloves.

 In auto controllers

 In fitness products

 In measuring devices

 In musical instrument

 Flex does not read or write files to the end- user’s computer. This is a restriction of the Flash Player.  Flex does not naturally handle lots of records easily. That’s similar to any client/server application however. If you write a Java/Swing application that needs to get 3000 records from a server, it is going to take awhile.

 They are available in different sizes 1k ohm – 2k ohm 2k ohm – 50k ohm 50k ohm – 200k ohm

 Wheel chair are a way of reincarnating the purpose of life in the lives of disabled people.  Effective and efficient ways of delivering a cost effective and affordable. Wheel chair to the common masses which is not only at par with the present day technology, but is much easier to are presented here with replacement of the popular joystick stick controlled wheel chair with a hand glove control system for easier measuring by bending the fingers is discussed in this report.
