ETHLON LonWorks Ethernet Adapter

Conventional Approach SIPAI Solution ETHLON DIRECTLY REPLACES SLTA-10 OR SLTA CONNECTIONS

Product Properties Connect LonWorks networks to TCP/IP Ethernet networks for commercial, industrial, residential and utility applications LAN  LON 100% transparent data flow transfer Capable of process at least 160 packets per seconds 10MBaseT Ethernet interface Static or acquired IP address Twisted pair (TP/FT-10, TP/XF-1250 and TP/XF-78) LonWorks channel support Virtual SLTA-10 or SLTA LonWorks network interface LNS (NSI) or LonManager API (MIP) support Up to 256 adapters could be connect to one PC Local or remote configuration, monitor and control support

Remotely Access LonWorks Systems Using Existing Software ETHLON is the ideal way to gain central remote access to several control systems while still using the same software your LonWorks system was designed for. By extending LonWorks access over Internet Protocol (IP), ETHLON acts as a replacement for a LonTalk Serial Adapter such as an SLTA-10 or SLTA, establishing remote access without any major software changes.

Seamless Enterprise Connectivity Access to LonWorks networks from any workstation on the LAN, managing your industrial automation systems Connecting buildings across a factory to a central SCADA workstation Providing remote management using standard WAN remote access, monitor and maintain your production lines from everywhere Gateways to existing legacy applications and data ETHLON LonWorks Ethernet workshop office

Control Everyday Devices Across the room or Across the World Managing building & home automation systems from a PC across Ethernet Connecting buildings across a campus to a central management PC Providing remote BAS management using standard WAN remote access Look after your home from another city with your notebook LonWorks ETHLON Ethernet

What is VSLA and Why? VSLA -- Virtual Serial LonTalk Adapter ETHLON is a VSLA device, redirects Ethernet as a virtual serial port, and recognized as a Serial LonTalk Adapter by LonWorks system Advantages: –Using standard drivers of SLTA or SLTA-10 and SLTALink from Echelon which are accepted by all LonWorks users –Using universal virtual serial port driver which are widely accepted by IT world –Using all existing LonWorks software without any modify needed –Could connect up to 16 (windows95/98) or 256 (windows2000/NT) devices to ONE PC running LNS/LonManager Server

HOW TO INSTALL? Physical Installation – ETHLON can be installed in any convenient location where the LonWorks network and Ethernet network physically meet, allowing total flexibility in determining or changing the location of the workstation running LNS/LonManager Server. –Wall or desktop mount Software Configuration –Device Server –Virtual Serial Port –Port Monitor –SLTA-10 driver and SLTALink –SLTA driver Hardware Configuration –LNS(NSI) -- LonManager(MIP)
