Thank you for your interest in Salt and Light. We are here to be of service to you and provide information on How to start a Salt and Light Ministry Affiliate in your church. First, you must get your Pastors’ approval for this ministry. He will be more inclined to approve this ministry if he has solid, reliable leadership willing to take charge. We have outlined some leadership qualifications below that any Pastor would be delighted to work with. Leader Qualifications and Requirements: You must care about the moral decline of our culture and want to make a difference from a biblical worldview. You understand God’s non-negotiable moral values and uphold them. You have extra time available to grow and develop the ministry. A preferred Leadership team would be a husband and wife though this consideration is up to your Pastor. Preferred skills: Excellent, outgoing people skills, willing to engage people quietly and respectfully. Preferred skills: Business and computer skills and some understanding of running an organization with management. You are well-respected members of a church, reliable with even temperament and not prone to loud extremism. You are willing to remain Christ-centered and not “political” in orientation You are willing to lead in prayer for elected officials, state, nation and world and for the people in your ministry. You are willing to man and/or delegate having a information table in the courtyard on a regular basis. You are willing to work under the authority of your church. You want to make a difference for the next generation. The Lord has clearly developed a Mission with our ministry bringing together caring citizens in a concerned church to take action. We engage the body in voter registration and current affairs providing a resource for involvement in government, civic affairs, issues and legislation to keep our religious liberties and the voice of your church from being silenced. This is a vital ministry more than ever as Hate Crimes legislation, the homosexual agenda and more seeks to remove your Pastoral voice.
