12 What Can’t JAN Do? Can’t diagnose a disability; Can’t determine if an applicant is appropriate for Job Corps; Can’t determine if an accommodation request is reasonable; or Can’t review student records.

13 What Do You Need to Have Prior to Calling JAN? Know the applicant’s limitations and abilities; Know the requirements of the program(s) that the applicant is interested; Know educational and psychological evaluation information that was collected; Know other vocational programs that are available for the applicant if the one he/she is interested is not a good match; and Read All available information on the applicant. Very Important!
