FY 2013 funding No 2008 grants to recompete SPDG FY 2012 Budget and President Obama's FY 2013 Proposal –SPDG Program budget authority in millions 2011: $46.8; 2012: $43.9; 2013 Request: $45.0 –“….The $1 million increase proposed for 2013 would help cover the cost of approximately 42 continuation awards to State educational agencies to improve the knowledge and skills of special education and regular education teachers serving children with disabilities and help recruit and retain highly qualified personnel providing services to children with disabilities."
