D) 3500 Calories 3500 Calories equals to 1 pound of fat. Read your food labels! Please share with your groups that it is very important to read your food labels. Be conscious of what you are putting into your body. Pat close attention to serving sizes, look for foods with lower level of saturated fats. More fiber, less sugar. Vitamins and minerals help your body function properly.

Regular Exercise ≠ Overeating Make the connection with your groups on how much easier it is to intake calories, than it is burn them off. For example to burn off the calories in 1 hamburger you would have to walk 3 miles. Individuals often think that since they are walking a couple of times a week, that they can now eat what they want.

B) Sunshine All 4 are good sources, but sunshine is the best source of Vitamin D Your body needs vitamin D to absorb calcium. Calcium keeps your bones and muscles-including your heart-healthy and strong. Vitamin D is essential to your bones and muscles. If you are working predominantly indoors, spend some time outdoors at lunch, getting some sun to help boost your Vitamin D levels. Always remember to protect yourself with the proper clothes and sunscreen.
