Problem 1 The program I’m working in is responding slowly or not responding at all. Go BackTroubleshootingNext
Go BackTroubleshooting Close the program by clicking on the x in the top right section of the window. Then reopen the program and try again.
Go BackTroubleshooting If that doesn’t close the application, log off and log back in. If you still have difficulty, restart your tablet. Next
Problem 2 I can’t get on the Internet. Go BackTroubleshootingNext
First, you should check to make sure that your wireless is turned on by checking for the blue light on your tablet. If your blue light is not on, push the wireless button on your tablet and check again for the blue light. Go BackTroubleshootingNext
If the light is on and you still can not connect to the wireless, check your wireless connection.
Go BackTroubleshooting Your wireless connection status will appear. Select View Wireless Networks.
Make sure you are connected to Mercury A. If you try to connect to it and a password window pops up asking you to authenticate, you’ll need to take your tablet to the repair center. Go BackTroubleshootingNext
Problem 3 I can’t access my N:drive. Go BackTroubleshootingNext
Log off of your tablet and log back on. If you still have difficulty, restart your tablet. Go BackTroubleshootingNext
If restarting doesn’t work, you’ll need to connect your tablet to the network using an Ethernet cable. You can find Ethernet cables plugged into the back of most workstation computers. Then log off and log back on. In a coming lesson you’ll be shown how to create a shortcut to the N:drive. Go BackTroubleshootingNext
Problem 4 My desktop is white and says, “Restore Active Desktop,” but when I click on it, I get an error. Go BackTroubleshootingNext

Go BackTroubleshootingNextGo BackTroubleshooting Select Programs Select Programs.
Go BackTroubleshootingNext Select Programs Go BackTroubleshooting Select Restore Active Desktop.exe.
After about 3 seconds your desktop will be restored. Go BackTroubleshootingNext
Problem 5 MY COMPUTER JUST TURNED OFF! Go BackTroubleshootingNext
Check the light on the front of your computer that shows if it’s on or off. If the light is off, your computer might have been turned off accidentally. Just turn it back on. Another possibility is that your tablet’s battery is out of power and will need to be charged. Go BackTroubleshootingNext
If the light is on, try to close your tablet screen and open it back up, which refreshes your display. If that doesn’t work, turn your tablet off and then turn it back on. If it comes up black again, you’ll need to take it to the repair center. Go BackTroubleshootingNext
Problem 6 My tablet is completely frozen and isn’t responding. Go BackTroubleshootingNext
You’ll need to do a hard restart by holding down the power button for 5 to 10 seconds until the computer shuts down. Then, turn it on again. Don’t do that now. Just hit the Next button below. Go BackTroubleshootingNext
Problem 7 I continue to have problems with my tablet and none of the previous solutions help. Go BackTroubleshootingNext
