ATTENDANCE Doors open at 7:00. Students eat breakfast and/or go to the gym. Report to Homerooms at 7:30 Tardy at 7:45 Absences: Send a written excuse on the day your child returns to school after an absence. If your child sees a physician, please obtain a note from them to send to school.
LUNCH & SNACK Lunch: Our lunchtime is 12:42-1:12. Come eat with them! Sign in at the office/leave when kids line up No outside food Snack: 10:00 Please make it healthy No red drinks.
PARTIES Class Parties: We will have two main parties: Winter Holiday & end of the year. You may send in treats for other holidays. Birthdays: Invites must be for all students if you plan on passing out in class. You may send in treats for students to have at lunch.
TRANSPORTATION Please communicate daily in student’s agenda if there are any changes. Do not rely on changes during the day. Always notify the office.

CURRICULUM Reading - working on fluency, comprehension, & retelling of stories. Language Arts/Writing - editing sentences for spelling, punctuation, capitalization and usage. Learning to write a story with a clear beginning, middle, and end. Genres: Narrative, Informational, Persuasive Social Studies - maps, communities, government, citizenship, economics, and Georgia. Math - addition/subtraction with regrouping, skip counting, place value, time, money, data and probability, measurement, geometry, and multiplication as repeated addition Science - matter, life cycles, space, energy, seasons and STEM units. Technology – tons of experience in different areas.

GRADES Progress Reports - Every 4 weeks Report Cards - Every 9 weeks O = outstanding (90-100) S = satisfactory (80-89) N = needs improvement (70-79) U = unsatisfactory (69 and below) **Corrections** Any paper that comes home with a failing grade may be corrected with the parent, signed and sent back to school for a 70%.
