ECOSYSTEM Be ready to sort Marsh animals into biotic and abiotic categories What is a niche?

Plants(producers)have the ability to turn light energy into chemical energy(photosynthesis) They are the foundation of every energy cycle! Without them ecosystems do not exist. Producers

Consumers can not do photosynthesis so they must eat other plants and animals to get chemical energy. Consumers:

1.Herbivores: Plant eaters (deer, rabbit, and ducks) 2.Carnivores: Meat eaters (fox, coyotes, and owls) 3.Omnivores: Plant and meat eaters (raccoon, Opossum, skunks, and painted turtles ) Consumers:

1. Biotic to Biotic...predator/prey, racoon/ducks… 2. Biotic to Abiotic...Humans drinking water or breathing oxygen 3. Aboitic to Aboitic...weathering,erosion,deposition 3 types of relationships
