PENTICOST STORY

Jesus’s helpers and friends were huddled together in a dark room and the doors were locked. Jesus said he was going to send them a special present and it will be his Holy Spirit.

They were waiting and scared because their best friend Jesus had left. They prayed and waited.

Suddenly a strong wind filled the room. Fire appeared above their head’s and it did not burn them. It felt like God was giving them brand new hearts.

God’s wonderful promise to them was that they were all God’s children. God told them he loved them and would always be with them.

The sunlight flooded the room as they opened the windows and love flooded their hearts. Peter announced that God’s love rescues everyone.

Peter told the story that God’s love never stops for us. The news of God’s love and Jesus spread and spread amongst many people.

A bad man named Saul wanted to stop it but God’s love can’t be stopped.
