 The energy of an object in motion

 Speed (or velocity) at which the object is moving  The mass of the object  Heavier objects will have more kinetic energy than lighter objects

 Described as stored energy energy is stored by doing work against a force like gravity Also, the amount of potential energy can increase with mass

 Remember that energy cannot be created nor destroyed  It will just change to other forms

 Remember that the Sun is the source of almost all energy on the Earth
