Training on Use Review VerifyAction

NAVSAFECEN receives medical data from the Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center. This is an approved use of medical data under HIPAA. Lists command personnel who received treatment at a MTF or TRICARE provider for any injury or occupational illness that appears to meet the mandated reporting thresholds References: OPNAVINST D for on-duty and off- duty mishaps. OPNAVINST R for aviation mishaps based on ICD-9 codes

Transmitted to a person or persons within the command UICs designated by the Command WESS Safety Authority Reviewer works with safety, supervisor, and/or injured person to determine whether each individual injury constitutes a reportable mishap Reviewer is prompted to take appropriate action to ensure the command submits the required report
