The Perukers ~Wigmakers By Harry, Ron, and Hermione

The Middle Colonies Cultural Reason: The affluent population

Geography reasons Fertile land and Major Cities rivers provide fertile land and water access for wealthy port cities fertile land was great for farming

Economic reasons Money to $ pend came to the Middle Colonies because they wanted to make money and to farm they had many cash crops to trade and to sell

Cultural reasons Fashion shows Status gentry class could afford imported materials a lot of diversity in the kinds of people that lived there

We didn’t choose The New England Colonies Because the soil was too thin and rocky for them to grow cash crops for spending money and they were too prim, proper, and pious to spend money on wigs anyway

We didn’t choose the Southern Colonies Too swampy and hot Settlers thought they would get rich quick, and return to England
