Agricultural Engineering BY: LILIAN PERIOD: 3

Agricultural engineers help us have food. They mix cutting- edge science with farming to keep us fed with safe and healthy foods.

Future predictions Agricultural engineering isn’t limited to Earth. NASA uses agricultural engineers to develop systems to grow food in space. If current irrigation trends continue, 69% of the ground water started in high plains Aquifer of Kansas will be depleted in 50 years. Also, potential farmers could grow cash crops in the desert with a green house.

Agricultural engineers make a median salary of $74,000 per year.

You need a bachelor’s degree in engineering to be an agricultural engineer. You would also need the proper licensing.

Agricultural engineers might design, develop, and manage the manufacture of agricultural machinery, equipment and instrumentation. They also might perform environmental impact assessments. Agricultural engineers also might prepare and present reports.

Agricultural engineers might work at Blue Bell Creameries, U.S Armed Forces, Kraft Foods, and John Deere.

Agricultural engineers might work in offices, on farms, or in factories.

I hope you learned a little bit about agricultural engineering!!!!
