A journey to the preservation of balance Ecosystem By: Apadan, Mia Rose S.

Unit summary In this unit, student will design and create a brochure where students will show through pictures and details or information how human activities can cause imbalance in our ecosystem (focusing on the human undesirable activities and on ways to prevent it). From their output, they can use information and facts that can support their concept. The brochure will show how actions of the human beings affect our ecosystem and students should also show the improvement of our ecosystem showing the differences then from now.

Do the research, look and observe Equipped with the knowledge and awareness on how to preserve balance life in ecosystem, students then will make a Brochure that will showcase their understanding and learning about the said topic.

Curriculum Framing Questions - Essential question -How can we weigh things equally? - Unit Question How do humans can cause imbalance in the environment? How to these human activities affect the environment? - Content questions What are ways of controlling/preventing harmful effects of human activities to the environment? What are the possible move or step that you can do to help preserve the environment? What are ways on preserving/conserving balance life in ecosystem?

Objectives To make a Brochure showing the effects of undesirable human activities in our ecosystem To develop student’s creativity in doing a multimedia presentation. To enhance collaborative skills among students To be able to share thoughts and ideas regarding on how to prevent harmful human activities to our environment To be sensitive on the different problems happening in our environment To be responsive of such problems in a way of thinking possible solution on the problem.

Goals for the students My students will be able to: Identify ways on preventing harmful effects of human activities to the environment Determine some of the human activities that causes imbalance in the ecosystem Identify some human activities that disrupt the cycle in an ecosystem Infer that some activities of people animals disrupt the balance of life in ecosystem Explain the harmful effects of certain activities of humans on a more complex ecosystem Discuss activities that will address to the problem 21st Century Skills: - ICT Literacy - Creativity and innovative skill - Creative thinking

Goal to my self To be able to guide the students in every step they are going trough in their journey towards their project. To be more resourceful to make my every lesson a productive one.
