Provide a general overview of the LA/EU S&T co- operation in terms of : - LA participation to the European FP - S&T indicators of bi-regional co-operation - S&T co-operation patterns - Key S&T LA institutions With a goal to support the EU/LA policy dialogue with analysis of the current situation WP1: General goals

- March – September 2008: Conicyt Chile compiles qualitative information on LA participation to FP and transmits them to IRD - March – November 2008: IRD compiles statistical data on LA participation to FP6 (Cordis) and draws some preliminary conclusions - November – January 2009: data sent to all partners so as to bring inputs and to draw more conclusions. Conicyt Chile will be in charge to compile the LA information and IRD the EU information. - February 2009: final deliverable 1.1: Statistical report on bi-regional S&T activities under FP6 - This deliverable will be updated with FP7 participation at a later stage (see task 1.2) Task 1.1 Monitoring of bi-regional co-operation under FP Leaders: Conicyt & IRD
