INTERNATIONAL PROJECT “EATING IS BELIEVING” CUCUMBER by Ezhov Dmitry, Project by Ezhov Dmitry, the 8th form pupil of school No 4, the town of Lisky Voronezh region. the town of Lisky Voronezh region. Teacher: Razuvaeva V. G

The aim of my project is to answer the questions: What vegetables and fruits are typical for our people? What are the national dishes of our countries? How are they cooked? What can national cuisine tell us?

It’s a vegetable It’s emerald green It’s neither salty nor sour, but juicy It consists of 95-98% water It appeared as the culture 6000 years ago It may have different shape and size People eat it fresh GUESS WHAT IT IS

Stem creeping, rough, finishing a mustache, which he could cling to the pillar, and the stalk can stretch out to 1-2 m. The leaves are heart- shaped, with five lobes.

Excellent source: potassium, vitamin C and folic acid. Properties: diuretic, depurative and calming. Puréed and mixed with other ingredients, cucumber flesh is used to make masks for skin treatments.

This vegetable is multi-seeded, juicy, emerald green, bubble. The structure of the vegetable is characteristic of the family Cucurbitaceae, and in botanical literature is defined as a melon. It may have different shape and size depending on the variety. Cucumber appeared as the culture over 6000 years ago. Homeland of this type are tropical and subtropical regions of India, the Himalayan foothills, where it still grows in the wild. It consists of 95-98% water and a small amount of protein, fat and carbohydrates. The remaining 3% include carotene, vitamin PP, C and B, as well as macro-and micronutrients. People eat it fresh or make salads.

Okroshka In my country we cook okroshka. It’s a very popular dish. It is eaten cold. Okroshka is a mixture of finely chopped vegetables with a neutral taste: fresh cucumber, reddish, green onion, dill. Then you should add boiled eggs and boiled potatoes, meat or fish. Meat or fish are added in proportion to the vegetables. The meat is used boiled, lean. Brew for okroshka should be special, so-called white kvass, more acidic than regular bread. At last sour cream is put into okroshka. Good apetite!

Dear friends! Do you have such vegetables in your country? Do you cook okroshka? Links:
