Early Years Foundation Stage

Communication and Language Develops children’s competence in listening, attention, understanding and speaking.

Physical Development Helps children develop movement and handling skills as well as learning about health and self care.

Personal, Social & Emotional Development Supports children in making positive relationships, developing self confidence and self awareness, managing their feelings and their behaviour.

Literacy Learning to read and write

Mathematics Allows children to solve problems and develop an awareness of numbers, counting, shape, space and measure.

Understanding of the World Widens their knowledge and skills, helping children make sense of their world, through investigating, designing and making, ICT and exploring each other’s cultures.

Expressive Arts and Design Children experience and explore art, music, movement, dance and imaginative role-play.
