Early Years Foundation Stage

Early Years education at Future Kids aims to: - Provide a welcoming and secure environment - Recognise the importance of parental involvement - Recognise the significance of play for learning Early Years learning in a childcare setting continues to build on children’s knowledge and curiosity. It provides a curriculum which empowers children to learn and grow, allowing them to develop confidence, independence, self-esteem, self- discipline, knowledge and skills. The Foundation Stage underpins all future learning. Aims in the Foundation Stage

Mathematics Allows children to solve problems and develop an awareness of numbers, counting, shape, space and measure.

Understanding of the World Widens their knowledge and skills, helping children make sense of their world, through investigating, designing and making, ICT and exploring each other’s cultures.

Expressive Arts and Design Children experience and explore art, music, movement, dance and imaginative role-play.
