A DAY IN THE LIFE OF KINDERGARTEN * Classroom schedules will depend upon individual teachers * They are located online on the College Gardens Website under Classroom Connections and Kindergarten

Go for the Green! Monthly contract in the communication folder Letters written home daily for behavior Green - great day! Yellow - slow down! Red - stop and reflect! If a student receives a ‘Got Attitude’ sticker, it will be recorded on the contract with a star

Got Attitude Stickers Students may receive ‘Got Attitude’ stickers throughout the school day 1 sticker = 1 ticket 5 tickets = 1 freeze pop from cafeteria OR 1 No Homework Pass OR 1 name in a drawing for a big reward at the end of the quarter In order to receive a sticker students must be showing a great example of one of our PYP Attitudes AppreciationCommitment Confidence CooperationCreativity Curiosity EmpathyEnthusiasm Integrity IndependenceRespect Tolerance

Arrival and Dismissal Dismissal Bus riders and other after care center students will be walked to the gymnasium for dismissal by 5 th grade patrols. Bar- T students are picked up in our classroom by a Bar-T staff member. Walkers and car riders will be dismissed by a classroom teacher out the exterior door to the person picking them up. If there is a change in how the student is getting home a note must be provided. Arrival Students will enter through the front entrance of the building. They should not enter prior to 9 a.m. Students must be in their classroom by 9:15 a.m. or they will be marked as tardy.

Snack –Each individual teacher has their own snack plan Lunch –Mylunchmoney.com –It will walk you through setting up an account –Need student name, ID number, and 4 digit pin number (contact teacher if you need them) –If writing a check make check payable to College Gardens Cafeteria and include student name and 4 digit pin number in memo line –If paying with cash put in a sealed envelope with student name and 4 digit pin number on the front

COLLEGE GARDENS STANDARDS OF COMMUNICATION  Communication Folders -Daily use of folder for notes to and from school -Homework will be sent home on Monday and collected on Friday -Graded materials will be sent home in this folder  Newsletters -PYP newsletters will include language arts, math, and specialist integration with in the units -Weekly school newsletters sent home on Fridays  Keeping in contact -Understanding that time is limited and value of the staff should respond within one to two schools days.
