Tablet Camp 2015 Resource Guide for Students at Klein ISD 1:1 Campuses

Day 1 – Tablet Camp Menu (Click buttons to access section content.) Section 1: Your Tablet PC Login Section 3: Log into the LMS Section 2: Activate Microsoft Office Section 6: Digital Citizenship Section 4: Log into Google Section 5: Log into DyKnow

Section 1: YOUR TABLET PC LOGIN If you haven’t changed your password: Log into one of the desktop computers in your classroom. Type your username: s and 6-digit ID# ex: s Type your password: s and 6-digit ID # ex: s It will then prompt you to change your password. After you change your password go back to your tablet and log in. Your Tablet PC Slide 1 of 2

Section 1: YOUR TABLET PC LOGIN The network login screen will appear. Select OK. Type your username: s and 6-digit ID# ex: s Type your password. You should have created a new password during the first week of school. Your Tablet PC Slide 2 of 2 You have logged into your tablet. Click here to return to the main menu. Section 2: ACTIVATE OFFICE

Go to the Start Menu key. Type Word in the Search box. Open Word Activate Office Slide 1 of 2

Section 3: LOG INTO THE LMS Log into the LMS Slide 3 of 7 Log in with your ID number as your username and password the first time. Enter your ID number only (just 6 digits, no S) Enter ID number only again (just 6 digits, no S)

Section 3: LOG INTO THE LMS Change your password to something you will remember but others will not easily guess in the Global Navigation Menu. (Drop down delta > Settings > Personal Information) Log into the LMS Slide 4 of 7

Section 3: LOG INTO THE LMS Click Change Password on the new page. Log into the LMS Slide 5 of 7 Create a password you will remember but others will not guess. Enter it in both boxes. Click Submit

Section 3: IDENTIFY YOUR ADDRESS Go back to the down delta by your username. Select Settings. Select Personal Information. (Down delta > Settings> Personal Information) Log into the LMS Slide 6 of 7

Click here to return to the main menu. Select Edit Personal Information Locate your Address (Copy and Paste your address in a Word document. Save the Word document in a secure location.) 4. 5.

Section 4: LOG INTO GOOGLE

Section 4: LOG INTO GOOGLE Log into Google Slide 2 of 3 Select Student on the StudentNet website OR Sign in at Google.comGoogle.com Username – Use the address you located in LMS in Section 3. Password – Capital S + your 6-digit Klein ISD number + Capital X Ex: s123456X

Section 4: LOG INTO GOOGLE Log into Google Slide 3 of 3 Read the new account message. Select I accept. Continue to my account. Change your Password to a new password that is at least 8 characters long. We recommend you change it to the same password you use to log into your tablet. After selecting Change password, close out of the program. You have finished logging in to Google. Click here to return to the main menu. You have finished logging in to Google. Click here to return to the main menu.

Section 5: LOG INTO DYKNOW

Go to the Start menu and type in DyKnow. Click on this program to open it. Log into DyKnow Slide 1 of 1 Log in using your ex: Your password is the same one you used to log into the computer. After logging into the program, close out of the program. You have finished activating DyKnow. Click here to return to the main menu. You have finished activating DyKnow. Click here to return to the main menu.
