Music Arabic, موسيقى عراقية, also called Music of Mesopotamia encompasses music from a number of ethnic groups and music genres. Genres include pop, rock, soul, and urban.
Customs and Traditions Majority of Iraqis identify with the Arab culture. The second largest cultural group is the Kurds. The Kurds occupy the highlands and mountain valleys of the north.

Clothes and costumes. A mix between modern and traditional clothing. Since the 2003 overthrow of Saddam Hussein, traditional clothing has become more common. Men wear things like dishdashas, abaya, ghatra, egal. Women wear a long abaya, hijab or niqaab. Now women don’t usually wear burqas.
Food/Cuisine Food begin with appetizers-Mezza. Popular dishes are Kebab, Gauss, Bamieh, Quzi, Falafel, Kubbah, and Masguf.
Popular games and past time activities Football (soccer) is the most popular sport in Iraq. Basketball, boxing, and tennis are also popular sports.
Etiquette, manners, conduct Most common greeting is handshake, eye contact, and smile. Friends of the same gender might handshake with a kiss on the cheeks starting with the right. During dining, do not discuss business, and check if you should remove shoes.
