C.C.C Portfolio What is it? – The Career, College, and Choices portfolio will be a collection of student writing that can be used in a real life setting What will be included? – Each portfolio will include 4 pieces of your writing: a resume, a cover letter, a college/trade school application essay, and a research paper on a career of your choice

C.C.C. Portfolio Resume – A resume is a one to two page document that includes information about your education, accomplishments, skills, and personal interests. – We will prepare by looking at sample resumes, class presentations, and performing independent research.

C.C.C. Portfolio Cover Letter – The cover letter is designed to reach a specific audience. – A cover letter is sent along with a resume, and describes student accomplishments with more detail. – A cover letter is designed to display how your skills meet the requirements of the school/job.

C.C.C. Portfolio College or Trade School application essays. – We will find actual college essay requirements, samples or otherwise, and you will complete an actual college or trade school application and essay.

C.C.C. Portfolio Sample prompts – What has been your most profound or surprising intellectual experience? (Duke University) – Tell us how a particular book, play, film, piece of music, dance performance, scientific theory or experiment or work of art has influenced you.
