SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18 NEONATAL CAREER DEVELOPMENT SEMINAR: FORMAT: MEET THE EXPERTS This workshop is intended to provide the opportunity for trainees and neonatologists exploring new horizons to discuss options and implications of various career paths in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. Workshop Leaders: John Hartline and Marilyn Escobedo CONCURRENT SKILLS WORKSHOPS The participant will be able to attend 2 of 4 concurrent workshops that should have direct implications in improving patient care in their practice. The workshops are designed to be small enough for significant faculty-participant interaction. A) Using Simulation to Keep the Team Sharp: Participants will work with the newest generation of infant simulators to keep staff proficient in management of delivery room scenarios as well as acute decompensation scenarios. The participant will learn of some features common to the new generation of mechanical ventilators for neonates to apply some of these new features to improve outcomes in their patients.
