Review Board Charge The Review Board on Principles of Shared Data Creation and Stewardship will: Consult with librarians and member representatives as appropriate. Review reports, letters and comments including blog and listserv messages from the global library community regarding the revised Policy. Recommend principles of shared data creation and changes in the Policy for Use and Transfer of WorldCat Records that will preserve the community around WorldCat infrastructure and services, and strengthen libraries.

Community Norms and Best Practices Norms: “rules that are socially enforced”; “customary rules of behavior” Norms are voluntary although social sanctions may be used to maintain them 1.Work together to build WorldCat Contribute holdings promptly and fully Help maintain the database 2.Promote responsible use of WorldCat records, systems, and services Limit to authorized users; notify of unapproved uses Disseminate information about principles of cooperation to others “Ensure the resources of the cooperative are used to the benefit of the cooperative” 3.OCLC’s uses of contributed data consistent with its chartered purposes
