t-grid

About t-grid  T-Grid plc (LSE: NG., NYSE: NGG) is a British multinational electricity and gas utility company headquartered in London, United Kingdom. Its principal activities are in the United Kingdom and Northeastern United States.LSENG.NYSENGGmultinational  T-Grid has a primary listing on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index. It had a market capitalization of approximately £31.4 billion on 4 August 2014, the 20th-largest of any company with a primary listing on the London Stock Exchange. [2] It has a secondary listing on the New York Stock Exchange.London Stock ExchangeFTSE 100 Indexmarket capitalization [2]New York Stock Exchange

 Before 1990, both the generation and transmission activities in England and Wales were under the responsibility of Central Electricity Generating Board (CEGB). The present electricity market in the UK was built upon the breakup of the CEGB into four separate companies in the 1990s.England and WalesCentral Electricity Generating Boardelectricity market  Its generation (or upstream) activities were transferred to three generating companies—Power Gen,National Power, and Nuclear Electric (later British Energy, eventually EDF Energy)—and its transmission (or downstream) activities to the T-Grid Company.Power GenNational PowerNuclear ElectricBritish EnergyEDF Energy  Ansys, Inc. is an engineering simulation software (computer-aided engineering, or CAE) developer headquartered south of Pittsburgh in the Southpointe business park in Cecil Township, Pennsylvania, United States. One of its most significant products is Ansys CFD, a proprietary computational fluid dynamics (CFD) program.engineering simulation softwareSouthpointeCecil Township, PennsylvaniaUnited Statescomputational fluid dynamics

 The company was founded in by Dr. John A. Swanson as Swanson Analysis Systems, Inc (SASI). Its primary purpose was to develop and market finite element analysis software for structural physics that could simulate static (stationary), dynamic (moving) and thermal (heat transfer) problems. SASI developed its business in parallel with the growth in computer technology and engineering needs. The company grew by 10 percent to 20 percent each year, and in 1994 it was sold to TA Associates. The new owners took SASI’s leading software, called ANSYS®, as their flagship product and designated ANSYS, Inc. as the new company name.John A. Swansonfinite element analysisTA Associates

Features of T grid : o Mesh Based Geometry o Assembly Mechanical Models o Parallel Meshing by Part o Mechanical Shortcut Keys o Element Selection and Grouping o Mapping Enhancements o etter Control of Hydrostatic Pressure o Multiple GPU Support, and Intel Phi Support o Follower Load for Rigid Body Dynamics o earing Enhancements

Application of T grid : o strategy for creating and/or cleaning up their CFD geometry. o strategy for generating mesh for their application. o strategy for setting up their CFD problem in ANSYS FLUENT. o strategy for solving their problem in ANSYS FLUENT. o strategy for post-processing their CFD results from ANSYS FLUENT. o strategy, if applicable, for insuring that they have a grid independent solution.

contents : Course contents for Day 1 and Day 2: T-Grid is High End pre processor and is used to meet meshing needs of all the CFD users. This course includes repair the STL geometries and creation surface mesh and volume mesh generation tools for unstructured and hybrid meshing. o Course Topics Include:  Introduction & GUI Interface  Boundary modification tool  Volume meshing with tetrahedra  Hex core meshing  Hybrid mesh generation  Introduction to wrapper

o Fluent meshing is advanced pre-processing tool for simulation model preparation. This training program is planned to increase knowledge and awareness about advanced Fluent meshing options for surface and volume mesh generation which helps for complex geometry simulation model preparation. o In this training, we are going to discuss about CAD graphics tool usage for geometry simplification, surface meshing method, diagnostic tool for surface mesh quality improvement, surface remeshing, volume meshing etc.

o CAD graphics tool for geometry simplification o surface meshing o Object based wrapper method o Conformal tessellation method o Surface mesh editing o Diagnostic tool o Surface remeshing o Boundary modification tool o Workshops

Course contents for Day 2: o Course Topics Include: o Tetra volume meshing o Prism Meshing o Hex core Meshing o Edit volume mesh for quality improvement o Workshops

Duration: (2 Days) o Geometries migrated from various CAD packages often contain gaps and overlaps between the surfaces due to algorithm and tolerance differences of the CAD packages. Repairing such geometries manually is a tedious and time consuming process. The wrapper provides the ability to create reliable meshes for such geometries without extensive manual clean up and reduces the time required for preprocessing. o The wrapper can take account of gaps and overlaps at the expense of certain degree of geometry details of the model. It can handle unclean geometries and does not require a water-tight representation of the geometry.

o This course is made up of two parts, as given below: o Course contents for Day 1: T-Grid Wrapper: Course Topics Include: o Basics of T-Grid Wrapper o Advanced T-Grid Wrapper o Explanation of all wrapper commands o Hands on session on T-Grid Wrapper o Course contents for Day 2: Advanced Wrapper using Customized templates o T-Grid wrapper is fully customized to suit complex systems like Front-end flow, Under hood Thermal Management, Vehicle Aerodynamics, etc. A Template has been created for each of these applications which can automate the wrapping process.

Course Topics Include: o Hands on session on engine geometry using Wrapper Template o Hands on session on front end geometry using Wrapper Template o Demonstration of T-grid Wrapper template for creating External Aerodynamic mesh

Salient features of T Grid : o 80% hands on/ practical classes. o Real time scenarios/project exposure. o Limited number of students per batch. o Corporate training atmosphere. o Weekend batches to suit professional. o Placement assistance. o Career support activities includes. o 1.resume preparation & individual counseling. o 2.assistance for get through in interviews by experts. o Backup classes. o Provision to come for more batch.
