 The purpose of the course is to introduce the key principles awareness to anyone interested in, or thinking about starting their own business and asses the skills required to be self- employed.  The course is made up to 10 units of study, 4 are mandatory and you can choose from up to 6 options. To achieve the whole award you need to have completed all the mandatory units and have studied optional units so that you have completed 15 credits. abdullahi abdi2 Course Aims

 As there is a large amount of written work, it is desirable that learner abdullahi abdi5 Do I need any knowledge, skills or qualifications?

As there is a large amount of written work, it is desirable that learners can demonstrate a level I standard of written English, have numeracy skills to be able to undertake basic financial calculations and basic ICT skills to access online material and update learning log. Learners will also need to have complete aspects of their work. abdullahi abdi6 Do I need any knowledge, skills or qualifications?

Yes, learners will be able to work towards an accredited level 2 first steps to enterprise qualification or ‘pick and mix’ from ten modules aimed at different stages of setting up, running and growing a business. abdullahi abdi7 Will gain qualifications?

Through tutor input, hand outs, group discussions, individual work and practical activities. You will also have access to learning materials outside of lessons so you can work at your own pace. Assessment is by demonstrating that you have gained the skills and knowledge, you will be required to compile a portfolio of evidence including a business development log. abdullahi abdi8 How will I learn?
