ISM-NVA EDUCATION PLAN

ISM-NVA VISION AND MISSION Vision The Institute for Supply Management-Northern Virginia (ISM-NVA), an ISM affiliate, seeks to be a progressive, not-for profit association that exists to educate, develop, and advance the purchasing and supply management profession. Led by an all volunteer Board of Directors, we provide our fellow members educational resources, professional networking opportunities, and career management tools. Members of ISM-NVA are recognized as world-class professionals. Mission To educate, develop and advance the purchasing and supply management profession, by providing opportunities to network, enhance professional skills, and increase the knowledge of our membership.

EDUCATION PLAN OBJECTIVES 1. Training will be provided yearly as follows: At least two (2) webinars yearly which will allow for remote attendance, which we feel is important in today’s hectic work environment At least six (6) training classes to be held in the evening on topics related to Supply Chain Management and Leadership Availability of additional training “on location” as requested for audiences of 10 or more. This may include CPSM, CSM, and/or CPSD certification classes or topic of specific interest. CPSM, CSM, and/or CPSD certification classes conducted by those who have completed ISM sponsored “train the trainer” at a location that would be available to members or non-members. 2. Educational resources will also be made available through web content. Articles Book recommendations Links to other relevant sites.
