Significant Safety Achievements- 8/15 Activity Manager system implementation is complete. –A total of 103 work activities have been generated for ETA. –7 work activities remain in EHS collaboration. All relate to ETA lab work that is not yet being performed. The old chemical clean-out in has been completed. –Several pieces of equipment were decontaminated prior to salvage. –Remaining chemicals were relocated to other areas. –The CMS inventory has been updated as needed. The Glove Box Self Assessment project has been completed and the final report is out for signatures prior to submittal. Two CATS requests were issued to address findings. Provided assistance during the B62 power outage. Ensured that equipment was maintained in a safe condition. Coordinated issues identified with EHS. A survey was sent out to determine which self assessment projects will be performed in The Chemical Spill Preparedness Self Assessment project has started. A survey has been sent to all lab area workers. A walkthrough is scheduled for 9/3/15.
Short Term Safety Outlook 9/15 Complete the final 7 Work Activities pending in EHS collaboration. These are for B33 JCESR and Complete the Lab Area Chemical Spill Preparedness Self- Assessment project. Prepare the final report for submittal. Continue to address ETA equipment on the electrical equipment “fail” list Complete the set-up for new lab areas B33 JCESR, and B60 air conditioning test chambers. Complete and submit the ETA Self Assessment Plan for FY2016. Complete CATS items identified from glove box self-assessment project.
