Presentation transcript:

The Vietnam war was not a declared war. The war started when the united states sent millions of solders to Vietnam to stop communism from spreading. Millions of solders where killed during the Vietnam war. The Vietnam war was the first war we lost.

The united states suffered a lot during the Vietnam war. About 58,200 Americans died during the Vietnam war. About 304,000 Americans were wounded out of the 2.59 millions who fought the war. The average age of the people who died is

A lot of people died in the Vietnam war a lot of children lost their fathers or close relatives. The war was worth millions of dollars. The war left us in great debt. We didn’t fully recover from the war until the 1990s.

The economy in the U.S wasn't so good before the war and the war just made it worse. America spent more than $165 billion dollars on the Vietnam war. During the war national dept was increased by $146 billion dollars. We sent lot of money to Vietnam to help them rebuild the buildings and houses. Because of the war there was lots of unemployment and taxes went up.

Vietnam was basically destroyed because of all the bombs that where dropped and stuff. A lot of Vietnamese died during the war little children and really old people also fought in the war. Vietnam had 15 year old kids on their side and a 62 year old man. The number of Vietnams killed was and the casualties was in the millions

Vietnam was in really bad shape after the war they had to pay for lots of stuff like weapons and rebuild houses and buildings. At the end Vietnam split into north and south Vietnam. The northern government like the change because it meant feeding fewer people. About 860 thousand want south and 50 thousand went south.

Today we are in debt because of the Iraq war but the solders are being recruited little by little. We are trying to recover from this war. A lot of people are still dying but not as many as in the Vietnam war. We really aren't at war anymore.

Today Vietnam is a peaceful place. There is North vietnam and south vietnam They are not at war anymore They are still trying to recover from the war
