Strengths  B/R provides up to the minute game updates through means of social media, videos, GIFs and live blogging.  They have complete team pages for every major/college team from cricket to college basketball and European soccer.  Layout is the same throughout the site and easy to navigate.

Weakness  Some authors write outrageous claims or predictions that are just used to gain more hits. Sometimes writers will go on rants that end up not solving anything at the end.

Opportunities  What they are missing are actual sport journalists with a good sense of reporting. They allow amateurs to submit pieces that make a bold claim to get page views.

SB Nation

Strengths  SB Nation is very pleasing to the eyes  Crisp layout, easy to navigate  Pictures are in HD  Every sport team has their own separate blog under the SB Nation umbrella  Visually stunning  Fans can post on separate fan page and communicate through large online community

Weaknesses  SB Nation is for fans who are very knowledgeable and care deeply about their franchises.  Not for the everyday fan looking for the recent score. data_player

Opportunities  Bleacher Report is seen as the mainstream sports blog while SB Nation is more in depth coverage, therefore SB Nation isn’t missing out on any real opportunities that would hurt them.

Threats  Bleacher Report’s strongest competitor would be SB Nation. Hardcore sports fans would agree that SB Nation is the top of the class for their terrific writing and video analysis that break down highlights.
