Grading Policy O Homework – 5% O Participation/Behavior – 10% O Classwork – 25% O Tests/Projects/Quizzes – 60% O Second Chance Work Policy O Second chance work may be assigned only if requested by the student. O Second chance work will be graded by averaging the original attempt grade and the 2 nd attempt grade.

Homework O Students will receive and be responsible for completing their assigned homework each evening O Homework will be assigned each night except for Friday O Unless that day’s classwork was not completed and is sent home to complete O Occasionally long term projects will be assigned that will need to be worked on at home

Essential Supplies O Binder O 5 divider tabs O Labeled: Math, Science, Health, Reading, Social Studies O Loose leaf paper O Placed inside each tab O Keep extra packs at home in order to replenish when needed O Pencils/Pens/Colored Pencils or Crayons O One folder (take home/HW) O 2 Composition Notebooks (science/reading)

Behavior Expectations O Hampden is a PBIS school O (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) O 6 th graders will be able to earn “Hampden Dojo points” throughout the week O O Each week the goal is to earn 18 points in order to participate in the weekly Friday incentives O There will be bigger incentives offered to those students who consistently earn 18 points each week quarterly

Attendance & Tardiness O School wide goal for improving attendance O Opportunity to win a bike raffle and end of the year trip for good attendance O Entering the building past 8:00 am will result in being marked tardy O Students will be directed to collect a late pass after 8:00 am O If your child is not here… they cannot learn!
