Case protects against drops, dust and scratches. DOES NOT protect against liquid. – Case doesn’t work if removed. Case is to be left on at ALL TIMES.
iPad Care, Maintenance and Procedures Insurance – All devices are insured from accidental damage and normal wear and tear – Any damage needs to be reported to the teachers. – Students need to respect the equipment. We are making an effort to conduct this pilot at no cost to the student however loss or malicious damage will be the responsibility of the student Excessive Damage Use in other classes Other devices
Instruction Technology in the classroom: – An opportunity for students to access multimedia content more frequently. – Size and portability advantage over laptops. – Allows for project-based and interdisciplinary learning in new and exciting ways.
Purpose The curriculum will continue to be the focus of instruction. The iPad will be used to take notes, submit homework assignments, complete assessments, communicate with teachers, and create projects.
Implementation Timeline Stage 1 – The iPads will remain in the classroom. Stage 2 – Students will take the iPads home. Stage 3 - Students may be permitted to use iPads in other classrooms.
Expectations Students are to respect the equipment and report any issues or damage to their teacher. Students will utilize the iPad like any other course required tool. Students will be responsible to bring a fully charged iPad with them daily as it is part of their course material.
