1. State your purpose. Check your aim.

2. Know your audience. Find out what they want!

3. Know your topic. Know your talk.

4. Provide context. i. Outline, ii. Explain, iii. Review.

5. Stay on pace. Manage the flow.

6. Be enthusiastic! Tell them why it matters!

7. Deliver it clearly. Walk them through it.

8. The slides are not the talk. The presenter adds context.

9. Don’t divide attention People can either read or listen.

10. Know your venue. Check the room.
