Welcome and introductions Introduce project leaders at the school Introduce students from the student-run help desk Introduce DART staff and other central staff who are present and supporting the project

Vision and goals for the project Inform the parents of the school’s vision and goals for the project ACPS will use this and three other 1:1 projects occurring throughout the Division to inform a future Division-wide 1:1 initiative in grades 6- 12

How will the laptops be used to improve teaching and learning? How can parents expect students to be using the laptop to improve learning? What daily expectations exist school-wide for teacher use of the laptops? What professional development and changes in school-based systems and structures have taken place to increase teacher readiness? What can parents expect in terms of communications about the project?

Laptop Care Safety and security of the laptop – Storing and transporting – Installing software and hardware Maintain updated system software, virus, and malware protection Students are responsible for their own backups! Report any problems or concerns ASAP!
