RFE SOUTH AFRICA The 4th RFE exchange for District 5960 is now arranged with Rotary District 9350 in the Cape Town, South Africa area. This is a district which covers a large part of the Southern African sub-continent, incorporating the whole of Angola and Namibia, and the western part of the Republic of South Africa. Its coast is washed by both the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, and it's varied, natural beauty is unsurpassed in Southern Africa.

SOUTH AFRICA South Africa has over 471,000 square miles Population 49 million South Africa is both the 25 th largest and 25 th most populous nation in the world.
WESTERN CAPE PROVINCE (around Cape Town) Most is within sandstone folded mountains ranging up to 7,000 feet in altitude. Fertile valleys lie between mountain ranges Coastal areas vary from sandy to rocky to mountainous Vegetation is extremely rich and diverse Temperate rain forest in many areas adjacent to the coast and along mountain ranges Cape Town has a Mediterranean climate November temperatures average a high of 75 and a low of 55 F November is the driest month in Cape Town Annual rainfall of only 20 inches, a little less than Minnesota and Wisconsin

RFE WESTERN CAPE PROVINCE Textiles and manufacture of clothing are the number one industry in the province. High-tech industries International call centers Fashion design Advertising TV production Tourism industry.
RFE WESTERN CAPE PROVINCE Over half of the residents in the province speak Afrikaans at home Nearly one-quarter speak Xhosa Almost 20% speak English.

RFE SOUTH AFRICA, NAMIBIA North Cape Province and the country of Namibia are the middle part of the Rotary District Lightly populated areas North Cape Province is famous for its diamond mines and is a markedly Afrikaans part of the country.
RFE NAMIBIA Namibia has tourism, agriculture, herding, and mining industries English is the official language Afrikaans and German are spoken by more of the white population Predominantly Christian with nearly half of the population being Lutheran The ethnic majority is Bantu Whites of Dutch, German, Portuguese, and French ancestry making up about 7% of the population.

RFE ANGOLA The most northern part of the Rotary District 9350 is the more populated Portuguese speaking nation of Angola. Oil production is driving Africa’s most rapidly growing economy--Angola. A Christian majority is over two-thirds Catholic.
