AQUABLEND AVIAN Trial Information By KIM, JINTAE (Asia Manager)

Introduction  To help customer’s understanding, we were gathering some recent commercial trials data from Korea.  In Korea, we have recommended to use AQUABLEND AVIAN during day 1-3 in drinking water or anytime at veterinarian’s discretion.  At present, we have many customers who are using AQUABLEND AVIAN in broilers, layers, ducks and breeders.  At days old, AQUABLEND AVIAN-treated birds have shown around 150g more in body weight in comparison with non-treated birds.

Feeding trial with Broiler integrator 1  Place: Halim’s commercial farm. 16 OCT 2008 – 14 NOV  Birds: Ross birds.  Trial design Control: 32,000 birds were fed with normal diets. Treatment: 32,000 birds were fed with normal diets + AQUABEND AVIAN (50g/10,000birds) from day1-day3 * Halim is the most big broiler integrator in Korea.

Effect on Livability, % [Korea, 2008]

Effect on Avg. Body Weight, kg [Korea, 2008] * AQB group showed higher ABW by 240g

Feeding trial with Broiler integrator 2  Place: Halim’s commercial farm. 23 SEP 2008 – 31 OCT  Birds: Cobb 39,000 birds.  Remarks; All groups were treated in the following program. Day4, 5, 6: antibiotics treatment at % Day7: vaccination for ND Day13: vaccination for Gumboro virus Day15, 16: anticoccidial treatment Day20, 21: ammoxicilin treatment  Trial design Control: 20,100 birds were fed with normal diets. Treated: 18,900 birds were fed with normal diets + AQUABEND AVIAN (50g/10,000birds) from day1-day3

Feeding trial in a commercial broiler farm  Place: private commercial farm. AUG,  Birds: Ross 49,000 birds.  Period: for 32 days trial  Remarks; All groups were treated in the following program. –Day1, 2, 3: IBD vaccination by spray –Day4, 5, 6: antibiotics treatment; enrofloxacin –Day7, 8: multi-vit. and mineral supplements –Day9: IBD vaccination –Day10: multi-vit. and mineral supplements –Day13: ND vaccination –Day14, 15, 16: anticoccidial + antibiotics treatment –Day22- 28: multi-vit. and mineral supplements  Trial design –Control (House A): 20,000 birds were fed with normal diets + organic acids in drinking water + probiotics –Treated (House B): 29,000 birds were fed with normal diets + AQUABEND AVIAN (50g/10,000birds) from day1-day3

Effects on broiler performances Results; Note; According to final results, it seems there were no differences between groups. However, actually, there were significant increment in the body weight in AQUABLEND AVIAN treated group. So far, from the house of treated group, it has always shown poor growth performances in this poultry house compare to other house (control group). Farmer suspected certain existing diseases/pathogens could not be eliminated by any disinfectants. Most of birds from that house showed kg of body weight before at day 30. At the same period, 1.5kg of body weight in the house (B) was treated with AQUABLEND AVIAN was tremendous increment in comparison with previous records. Before AQB, in the same poultry house (B), its ABW(kg) was just 1.35~1.4kg at day 30.

Increasing of Body Weight * In the same house (B), there were a significant increment in body weight. * In addition, there was no Gumboro disease after treating AQB. But, it was happen frequently in this house before. It has been repeated in other trials. If there were serious & continuous Gumboro outbreak, AQB could reduce it’s frequency and intensity kg

Growth promoting effect of AQUABLEND AVIAN Following data were collected from end-users in Korea market. 50g/10,000 birds dosage during day1, 2, 3 was recommended. Only 3 farms were used AQUABLEND AVIAN at day1 and 2. the graph will be showed in blue color. At the beginning, those farms had conducted simple feeding trial compare to non-treated group. All of farms had different rearing programs for vaccination, antibiotics, nutritional supplements etc.

Differences in weight gain after treating AQUABLEND AVIAN: Simple feeding trials at farms. * From all of them, we found AQB improved growth performance. Especially, in body weight, treated group showed more weight gain of 140g (average).

Univ. Trial Place: Iran, 2009 Purpose: Evaluation of Intestinal Microflora: –Tow separated groups were selected including 20 broilers in each one. –The first group was considered as a Control Group (not treated group). –In second group, broilers received Aqua-Blend Avian product during 3 first days of cycle (based on recommended concentration by manufacturer) in their drinking water. –Eight birds from each group were post-mortem examined and evaluated intestinal content to detect type and number of intestinal microflora at first day ( before the beginning of assay ) and days 3,7,14 and 21.

Lactobacilli bacteria/gram of Intestinal Microflora on day 3rd 1.13x10 8 cfu/g 5.33x10 8 cfu/g ControlAquablend Avian No. of Lactobacilli bacteria/gram

Lactobacilli bacteria/gram of Intestinal Microflora on day 7, 14 and 21st Total beneficial bacteria counts were 3 to 5 times.

Coliform bacteria of Intestinal Microflora on day 21st 12.8x10 3 cfu/g 5.7x10 3 cfu/g Coliform bacteria/gram

Coccidium Counts on day 7th and 14th * Coccidium count: n x10 3 cfu/gram

Purpose: Evaluation of Production Performance –One hundred of one day broilers were divided into 2 equal groups (each group consisting of 5 sub-groups including 10 birds), we considered first group as a Control Group. The second group received Aqua-Blend Avian product in its drinking water during 3 first days of cycle (based on recommended concentration by manufacturer). –The indexes of production such as increasing of body weight, food intake, food conversion ratio (FCR) on days of 14,21,28 and 42 in addition to efficiency rate of production at the end of experiment (on day 42nd) were measured.

Improved Growth Performance of Aquablend Avian Group Day 21 st % Day 28 th % Day 42 nd % Compare to control group Body Weight FCR : AQB group was improved by 1.5%, compare to control group.

SUMMARY  For several years, AQUABLEND AVIAN has given a good protection against intestinal pathogens (Salmonella, E. coli, Clostridium etc.) and improvement in growth performances for poultry over the world.  AQUABLEND AVIAN can provide a natural and safe protection and more weight gain in poultry.  AQUABLEND AVIAN is applying during first 3 days.  AQUABLEND AVIAN can make birds exert their genetic potential through promoting intestinal healthy environment in the early of birds’ life.  AQUABLEND AVIAN can reduce Gumboro disease outbreak rate.
