What do you think? What would you like to add / delete?PLEASE GIVE YOUR IDEAS :) HOW MUCH TIME ARE WE SPENDING IN THIS? HOW LARGE / SHORT A PROJECT SHOULD THIS BE? Your ideas ….. - In my class, there is several handicap to be surmounted(overcome): 1 - My pupils have relatively mediocre English. The teaching English in primary sector(primary school,Primary) is average in France. But they have some bases. 2 - In our school there is that a computer connected to internet, what limits the use(custom). Both class of big (who(which) my class) are prioraitaire. Having only one hour a week to work on the project, we can send you once a month news(short stories). We have only 2 English lessons a week so, don't worry. We do what we can and have time to do.

With the children, we have already created a web site of our class, a part(party) is specially dedicated to this project. All my pupils can appear in the website (parental permission). We can store some documents (photos/videos) in TwinSpace and in our websites.

Every time we shall try to communicate you moments of the class with videos. Postcards in September and October WHAT ABOUT THE SKYPE MEETING? Can we fix a date for it? Pupils could introduce themselves telling their names and hobbies (two to three sentences). I work in Sääksjärvi on Tuesdays and Thursdays (other days in my other school Saari primary school). For a meeting on Skype, we can fix on Thursday, October 1st at 10:30 am. The time(weather) to see if my director(manager) leaves me the room on Thursday morning (I work only on Thursday and Fridays) and if I have his agreement we can settle this moment, if it is not a problem for you.

Tools to be used in the project Twinspace for storing documents, Pupils' Corner ( s, chat)???When we project is registered we will have the access to TwinSpace. Blogger.com for displaying our project???? What do you think? Texts, pictures, video clips? If we use the blogger, it is an open blog and all the internet users can read it and we need parental permissions for their kids to appear in that. I think that we can forget this as we have Twinspace and school websites. Other option: in our school website I have an English page and you can create an closed blog there with a key to enter. I can create a page which is just for the project. I have never used twinspace, we shall maybe have difficulty in communicating often unfortunately. But we are going to try to give a specific day to put it ready(in position). When we project is registered we will have the access to TwinSpace. We are in computer room Thursday from 1:30 pm till 2:30 pm. It is possible to exchange at the present time, for example. We can change for Friday otherwise, it is also possible. On Fridays I am at other school. Your time is in our time and our school day is then over. Would it be possible to arrange any earlier time for the skype meeting on Thursday or Tuesday? I have still quite no authorizations of the parents(relatives), but from October, I should have the permissions (or not) to spread(broadcast) on the Internet. Starting the project A skype connection between the schools to introduce who we are and get started? Would that be a good start? So everybody could introduce themselves (name, age, class) Would you be able to do this? It is easy, you only need a computer and internet connection. Here is a link of one of my project's skype meeting It is a good idea. I go and look at the next week if it is possible and I send you a message immediately to arrange an appointment on Thursday or Fridays. Read my earlier comments on skype On Fridays I am at other school. Your time is in our time and our school day is then over. Would it be possible to arrange any earlier time for the skype meeting on Thursday or Tuesday? I am going to try to see for Thursday morning, if I can have the computer room and what we can see itself by Skype. In my school, it is rather difficult because the computer room is multifunction.

School Introducing our schools this topic in January/February Taking pictures and writing texts. We could put these in our blog (if we choose to have a blog). In this part it would be a good idea to have a group pictures taken of the students (and the teacher), too. Video clips: Some students could be ”reporters” and ask other students questions about school. Maybe they could also interview for example the headmaster or other teachers or people working in the school canteen? I think that it would a nice idea to do some short video clips of this (if possible) which we can then show in our classes. Maybe questionnaires prepared by the students about the other school and school life? Your idea is brilliant, I hurry to propose it to my pupils to determine journalists. The questions will be very short and very simple, because neither my pupils nor the adults of the school do not master English. That is why, I found the etwinning experience(experiment) very interesting. In October, we are going to write a small questionnaire for your pupils to know their school.
