13 "Standardization : The Bridge towards Ubiquitous World" Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) & RF Identification (RFID) issues discussed: –Presentation of RFID related work in ETSI (gsc12_grsc5_20) main outcome: –Need to try and bring Layer 1 & Layer 2 activities into Telecoms/Radio SDO world whilst ISO handles upper layers; noted recent ISO decision to reject active RFID in 900 MHz band. ETSI requested to develop a recommendation on this issue. –PSOs encouraged to assist in global harmonization of spectrum allocations –PSOs requested to provide Prime PSO with updated frequency allocations –Regional proposals for harmonization will be submitted to WRC 2007 for a future agenda item at WRC 2011 Resolution GSC-11/03 revised and agreed as GRSC5/10, named changed to "Network Aspects of Identification Systems" (gsc12_closing_15r1) (issued an Opening Plenary resolution) Maintained as HIS for GSC-13: ETSI to continue as Prime PSO
