Our patron – António Augusto de Rocha Peixoto (1866/1909)  Birthdate – 18th May 1866  Birthplace – Póvoa de Varzim  Life and work  Naturalist, ethnologist, archaeologist ;  Organized the Cabinet of Mineralogy, Geology and palaeontology of the Polytechnic Academy of Porto  Directed the Public Library and Municipal Museum of Porto  Creator of a very important magazine called “Portugália”  Responsible for the archaeological discovery of “ Cividade de Terroso” – celtic Ruins

A brief history of our school  1919 (August) - The school was created  1924 (21st November ) – It became “Escola Industrial e Comercial de Rocha Peixoto” (Rocha Peixoto Industry and Commerce School )  1952 – It functioned in the old Postiga Palace up to this date  1962 ( 16th June) – It functioned in the old Gas Factory up to this date  1962 (2nd June) – The current building was inaugurated  2009 – Enlargement, improvement and modernization works
