Microsoft Millions  Bill Gates is famous for being the creator of Microsoft.  He created the first PC software that was user friendly and helped start the technology revolution.

Microsoft Beginnings  In July 1980, IBM and Gates started working together to create the IBM PC and a new, easy operating system.  Bill Gates helped program Microsoft Windows which was released on November 20, 1985.

Bill and Melinda Gates foundation  Bill and his wife Melinda Gates created the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation together.  It is a charitable organization to make the world much better.  The foundation grants and provides help for minority college scholarships, AIDs prevention and diseases that strike third world countries and other causes.  He has donated more than 100 million dollars to help kids with AIDs.

How it affect our lives  Bill Gates has affected our lives because we have technology to help students and teachers research any topic that we want or need.  Without the modern day technology that we use, we would not be able to find information quickly.

Why is our topic important.  Our topic is important because Bill Gates created something new and different.  He came up with Microsoft office, PCs, video games and made sure the average American could have a computer.

Why is our topic important.  He is also a nice, helpful person who tries to help as many people as he can.  The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has helped him continue to help people all over the world.  He makes a difference everyday.
