– Starting of the development. Initial orientation towards the work with climate data. Processing and recording of Hydrometeorological data into the ORACLE database – Representation of a product with the elements of work with real-time data and metadata and using freely disseminated SAP DB – Starting of commercial introduction of the product at national meteorological centers of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan – Introduction of the commercial product for management and representation of real-time and climate data. The major designer of the project – Besprozvannykh Alexander, Russian Research Institute of Hydrometeorological Information – World Data Centre, a member of the Inter Programme Expert Team on Metadata Implementation (IPET-MI). Data collection monitoring & Real time data access (1-10 January 2005)

CliWare metadata Metadata issues: There is no standard of the metadata. Protocol is specified but has not been implemented. Work is in progress on the language support. Provision of 2 languages in the field of description is anticipated. Correction of the decisions accepted earlier is possible.

CliWare summary product for management and representation of real-time and climate data is based exclusively on the web technologies uses standard set of commands for interaction with the database server and does not depend on the DB used there are a demo mode of the access to climate data through the HTTP protocol and authorized access to the data by subscription (push) and by password (pull) metadata subsystem was implemented on Resource Description Framework (RDF) language basis, which supports the work with metadata of any type
