My turn I will write down 3 things about myself and you guys tell me which one is a lie Lets get started!!!

Welcome to American History! Why do we study history? History provides identity. Studying history improves our decision making and judgment. History shows us models of good and responsible citizenship. History also teaches us how to learn from the mistakes of others. History helps us understand change and societal development. History provides us a context from which to understand ourselves and others.

Standard Operating Procedures You will often here me say S.O.P In this class we have two main Standard Operating procedures. They are for entering the classroom, and bathroom. The other S.O.P I will tell you about a little later on as class progresses.

Fire Drill Procedures When you hear the alarm: Freeze and be silent. When I call for you walk silently in a single file line. Do not lose your class. When we line up at our destination you will be silent still. NO TALKING. I will call roll. When I call your name please say here and raise your hand. It is important that you do both things. When we are allowed to exit we still walk in a single file line. You may whisper now, but do not yell. Return to class promptly and with the rest of your class. If you do not show up for roll call during the fire drill you will receive a referral. This is a serious matter!

Classroom Expectations Classroom Procedures: When you see me raise my hand that is your cue to STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN. Raise your hand and wait to be called on to talk or leave your seat. As soon as you are seated, get out needed materials and begin immediately on the day’s essential quote writing activity. I dismiss this class, not the bell. To use the restroom you must follow S.O.P (standard operating procedure), obtain permission, sign out, and take the complete hall pass. Restroom breaks will only be permitted at appropriate times unless it’s an emergency. (No rest room 10 before/after bell rings.) Only one person out of the room at a time, those students who abuse the restroom privilege will lose it. No cell phones or electronic devices are allowed in this classroom unless given permission by me. (If I see it I will take it!) Please spit your gum out before coming into the classroom. Turn in all completed assignments to the (IN) basket for your period. No food or drinks will be allowed in the classroom unless medically necessary. (Please show appropriate documentation to me/office.)
