HOW DO CRYSTALS GROW? HOW DO CRYSTALS GROW?  In cavities between rocks  When cavities become filled the crystal has grown as much as it can.  In cavities between rocks  When cavities become filled the crystal has grown as much as it can.

The fascination of crystals… They spark and attract with their beautiful light.  They come with interesting shapes and colors  Collecting them can be an exciting and challenging experience. What makes up a crystal??  Atoms are building blocks of crystals.  Even the smallest crystal (salt)is made up of millions of atoms.  For every type of crystal there is a different combination of atoms.  Salt for example is composed of sodium and chlorine.
