Frequency issues and Digital Dividend 3 Plan modification activities (1) Received notices Expected input GE06GE89GE84RJ81GE75ST61Procedure Received notices Expected input GE06GE89GE84RJ81GE75ST61Procedure Received notices Expected input GE06GE89GE84RJ81GE75ST61Procedure Received notices Expected input GE06GE89GE84RJ81GE75ST61Procedure (first quarter)

Frequency issues and Digital Dividend 4 Plan modification activities (2) It must be noted that the success rate of GE06D Plan submissions is rather low, out of received notices, only have been processed further. The others have been returned for validation errors or have ended in conformity to the allotment check in case of converted assignments. Out of these successful notices, so far notices have been recorded in the Plan, the others are still awaiting some actions by the notifying administration. Successful submissions requesting Plan modifications have been sent by the following administrations: ALG, AZE, BLR, BUL, D, E, EGY, EST, FIN, G, GEO, GRC, IRN, KGZ, LTU, LVA, MLT, MRC, POR, RUS, S, SVN, UKR, and UZB.

Frequency issues and Digital Dividend 5 Master Register activities The Bureau know that a station has been put into operation by following notifications under Article 11 of the Radio Regulations. So far, 667 stations operating in accordance with GE06D Plan have been put into operation. The notifications have been received from: D, FIN, LTU, LVA, MRC, S, SUI and SVN 30 of these stations have been put into operation in Band 790 – 862 MHz (Band candidate for Digital dividend). 18 of these 30 have been put into operation with radiation power bigger than 1 KW. 6 stations have been put into operation with radiation power exceeding 10 kW, notably one 17 kW, two 50 kW, two 100 kW and one 200 kW.

Frequency issues and Digital Dividend 6 Digital Dividend What is digital dividend? What is digital dividend? Who and how shall benefit? Who and how shall benefit?

Frequency issues and Digital Dividend 7 Decision of the WRC FIXED BROADCASTING MOBILE except aeronautical mobile 5.316B 5.317A A B In Region 1, the allocation to the mobile, except aeronautical mobile, service on a primary basis in the frequency band MHz shall come into effect from 17 June 2015 and shall be subject to agreement obtained under No with respect to the aeronautical radionavigation service in countries mentioned in No For countries party to the GE06 Agreement, the use of stations of the mobile service is also subject to the successful application of the procedures of that Agreement. Resolutions 224 (Rev.WRC 07) and 749 (WRC 07) shall apply. (WRC-07) 5.317A Those parts of the band MHz in Region 2 and the band MHz in Regions 1 and 3 which are allocated to the mobile service on a primary basis are identified for use by administrations wishing to implement International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT). See Resolutions 224 (Rev.WRC 07) and 749 (WRC 07). This identification does not preclude the use of these bands by any application of the services to which they are allocated and does not establish priority in the Radio Regulations. (WRC 07)
